“The best reflection of the election process in this country is the UFC fights. It may be a little more tame than the election business…” Trump said at his rally.
“Dana White did a great job. I hope he doesn’t run against me. He did a great job. It’s easier business than politics.”
Mr. Trump and Mr. White left together, with Kid Rock’s “American Badass” playing over the PA system.
The former president was seen shaking hands with Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy.
President Trump attended four UFC events last year, including UFC 287 (also in Miami) and UFC 296 (Las Vegas), where he watched Trump supporters Jorge Masvidal and Colby Covington, respectively. Both fighters lost their respective matches.
He also competed at UFC 290 in Las Vegas and UFC 295 at Madison Square Garden.
O’Malley is 5-0-1 in his last six fights and 17-1 overall, making him the favorite to defeat Vera. O’Malley’s only loss was against Vera at UFC 252 on August 15, 2020.
