Dynatrace, a leader in integrated observability and security, has named Laura Heisman as its new Chief Marketing Officer (CMO). Laura will officially take over the role, replacing Mike Maciag, who held the position for five years, and Maciag will provide her experience as an advisor until April 2024.
Laura Heisman’s 30 years of service to the technology industry has led her to reach enterprise, developer, consumer, and corporate audiences worldwide. She previously served as VMware’s CMO and held the reins of the company’s global marketing organization. Prior to joining VMware, Laura was a member of GitHub’s executive leadership team as Vice President of Communications and Corporate Marketing. Additionally, Laura has dedicated more than 10 years to Citrix Systems, driving the company’s global communications and brand awareness programs as Vice President of Communications.
Her critical role as an advocate for women in the technology industry has made her stand out as an empathetic leader, sponsoring employee resource groups for women at VMware, GitHub, and Citrix. Laura Heisman holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Arts from San Diego State University, a qualification that enriches her industry experience.
