ELMIRA HEIGHTS, N.Y. (WETM) — The Village of Elmira Heights is holding an information session for business owners to learn about the grant program.
Business owners are invited to attend the Elmira Heights Community Development Block Grant Microenterprise Assistance Program information session on Tuesday, March 26th from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Elmira Heights Village Hall. Participants will learn about the purpose of the program and the grants it provides. Can be used for eligibility requirements, application process, and project selection process.
The Microenterprise Assistance Program provides financial assistance, entrepreneurial training, and long-term support to eligible businesses, startups, and entrepreneurs. The goal of this New York State Department of Housing and Communities revitalization program is to stimulate economic growth and create jobs by providing resources and support to microbusinesses (those with five or fewer employees).
Elmira Heights business owners eligible for this program can receive grants ranging from $5,000 to $30,000. Grants must be used for specific projects, and some of the projects must be funded by the business owner.
