Financial executive Benjamin Griefer bought a 13,100-square-foot mansion in Hidden Hills for $23.7 million, or $1.3 million less than the asking price.
The chief operating officer of Calabasas-based Maverick Payments and his wife, Chantal, have purchased a new farmhouse-style property at 5275 Round Meadow Road, according to the Robb Report.
The six-bedroom, eight-bathroom property, built last year on 1.4 acres, was listed in October for $24.995 million.
The two-story gabled mansion features a spacious living room with fireplace and automated glass walls opening onto a covered terrace.
An adjacent dining area leads to a gourmet kitchen with two islands and top-of-the-line appliances. The formal dining room has a temperature-controlled glass wine wall.
The home features a bookshelf-lined office, soundproof cinema, gym, steam shower, and lounge with a sit-down bar.
Upstairs, the master bedroom has a stone fireplace and a living area that opens to a balcony. There’s a “room-sized” closet, a luxurious soaking tub, and he even has two vanities and a shower.
The grounds are dotted with mature oak trees and include an infinity edge pool with an oversized Baja ledge and a spa next to an outdoor cabana. The attached garage can park 4 cars.
Douglas Elliman broker Marc Shevin held the listing. Agency brokers Nicole Tequiera and Dennis Chernoff represented the buyer.
Griefer, 29, was recognized last year as one of the Electronic Trading Association’s Special Payments Executives under 40.
According to Rob, the couple live in the gated celebrity haven of Hidden Hills, with neighbors including Kris and Khloe Kardashian, Matt Stafford, Lori Loughlin, Jessica Simpson, French Montana and Tristan Thompson. He says he will join up with them.
In December, Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matt Stafford purchased a 15,000-square-foot mansion atop a hill in Hidden Hills for $28 million, a local record. However, the brokers involved in the transaction are currently embroiled in a legal battle over commission payments.
