As you can probably tell by the fact that I’m joined by Phil, Sarah and Matt, we have a very special episode today. welcome. Speaker 2: So rather than change our basic exclusive strategy, we made the decision to bring four games to other consoles. Only 4 games. We are making this decision for several specific reasons.We make every decision with a truly long-term perspective. [00:00:30] Xbox Health and the Long Term View Xbox health means growing the platform, performing games, building the best platform for creators, and reaching as many players as possible. We are always looking to learn and grow as a leadership team. And we think it’s an interesting time to leverage what other platforms currently have to help grow the franchise. So let’s do that. Speaker 1: So what are these four titles? Speaker 2: I won’t say the names. [00:01:00] those games. The team developing these games has announced plans that aren’t far off. As you know, gaming teams put a lot of energy into partner announcements. So I don’t want to take anything away from those teams. So I won’t talk specifically about the title, but I think we’ll understand once it’s actually released. Speaker 1: Can you say whether either of these titles is “Starfield” or “Indiana Jones”? Speaker 2: Neither “Starfield” nor “Indiana Jones.”I watched the game that ended [00:01:30] It’s been around for a while now on Xbox and PC. Some games are community-driven games, new games, like the first iteration of a series that reached its full potential on Xbox or PC. There are always growing franchises that we obviously want to continue investing in. Part of what allows us to continue investing is the continuity of the business behind those franchises. We believe these service-based games that have a community behind them are important. [00:02:00] You can be sure that they will still exist in the future. So two of them are community-driven games that will eventually move to other platforms so we can continue to invest in them. We think this is great for business and great for the community, and it’s great to have more players playing together. Speaker 2: His other two games were smaller games that weren’t meant to be platform exclusives or hype around them, but they were games that our team really wanted to make. And it’s what we love.Supporting creative efforts throughout the studio [00:02:30] Regardless of size. And as it has reached its full potential on Xbox and PC, there is an opportunity to leverage other platforms as a place to derive more business value from these games, and perhaps invest in future iterations of them. I think it can be done. Hence their sequels, or other similar games in our portfolio. Speaker 3: All of our games are always on Game Pass. That’s why we’re excited to announce the birth of Activision Blizzard King. [00:03:00] We learned that Activision and Blizzard games are coming to Game Pass, starting with Diablo 4 on March 28th, and we’re so excited to share it with you today. And it’s all part of our commitment to making Xbox, the Xbox experience, and the games we build as widely available as possible. All 34 million Game Pass members can now enjoy the great Diablo experience, and we have more on the way. We have some exciting products coming in hardware this holiday season.And we’re also investing in [00:03:30] generation roadmap. And what we’re really focused on there is delivering the biggest technological leaps we’ve ever seen in a hardware generation, and that’s great for players, great for creators, and It’s also better for the vision they’re building. Speaker 4: He has over 10 major releases scheduled for his upcoming 2024. Great stuff.
