These grants are: (1) Small Things, Big Impacts Fund, (2) Community Connections Fund, (3) Building Business Fund, and (4) Vacant Property Revitalization Fund.

The Small Things, Big Impacts Fund ($26,000) supports small projects that have a big impact. His 2024 priorities for this fund are visibility, including but not limited to signage, branding, packaging, murals/artwork, and mobile visibility. Applications for the “Small Things, Big Impacts Fund” will open on his January 15, 2024 and close on March 28, 2024. Applications will be reviewed on a quarterly basis until all funds have been disbursed.
The Community Connections Fund ($60,000) supports local governments, We support schools and 501c3 nonprofit organizations. service. Applications for the Community Connections Fund will open on April 1, 2024 and close on June 13, 2024.
The Building Business Fund ($100,000) supports local businesses with matching funds to invest in “tools” to scale up and grow. Funds can be used for literal tools (equipment/machinery) or figurative tools (business services/professional services) to help your business grow. Projects must provide an overall benefit to the community and promote economic development through business growth. Applications to the Building Works Fund will open on July 1, 2024 and close on September 26, 2024.
The Vacant Property Revitalization Fund ($750,000) supports building owners who want to reclaim vacant buildings and vacant floors into commercially usable space. Applications for the Vacant House Rehabilitation Fund will open on September 30, 2024 and close on December 5, 2024.
Applications for all programs are reviewed by the Community Economic Development Fund Committee. The committee is made up of six community leaders and one Lewis County Development Corporation board member.
