Franklin Savings Bank (FSB) has generously awarded a $50,000 grant to the Beth Brunswick Memorial Fund (BBMF) in support of the Rangeley Child Care Center project. The FSB recognizes that consistent and affordable additional childcare is critical. Once completed, this project will support families with child care needs as well as businesses struggling to recruit and retain additional workers.
The BBMF Board has been working diligently over the past 18 months to develop plans to build and promote additional child care slots in the Rangeley community. Funding is still being sought, but this grant will help in many ways. “This will provide funding to meet financial goals, demonstrate business support for other grants being sought, and in the long term support families wishing to return to work. ” said Treasurer Leanna Wilbur. BBMF.
These grants, along with donations from the business community, help us solicit other foundations and grants. With this generous pledge, Franklin Savings Bank demonstrated its dedication to the welfare of the Rangeley community. A strong foundation of community support is essential to the success of this new program. Anyone wishing to show support can send a donation along with a letter of support to: BBMF PO Box 7038 Rangeley Maine 04970.
