Hake leads operations and strategy for the Gene Editing Institute, overseeing an educational program called Gene Editing 360™ with an innovative learning lab that prepares students for careers in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics). Since opening in April 2023, more than 350 of her Delaware students have participated in immersive field trip experiences in labs conducting gene editing experiments.

Hake’s career spans more than a decade, building strategic relationships to sustain the operations and influence of regional and national organizations. An experienced leader with proven fundraising experience, sound financial management, and program development skills, Hake is passionate about supporting vibrant, thriving communities.

Hake joined ChristianaCare in 2020 and was promoted to Director of ChristianaCare Philanthropy Office in 2021. As a key member of the team, Hake oversaw the engagement and influence of key stakeholder groups, including the ChristianaCare Advisory Council and Leadership Council. She received her BA in Spanish from Penn State University and her MBA from Villanova University. She serves on the boards of Wilmington Her Charter School and Great Her Dames Inc.
