Jan. 7—Helping Hands Hawaii’s annual Good Neighbor Fund campaign concluded last week, raising a total of approximately $113,500.
Although this year’s goal of $125,000, which is $25,000 higher than last year’s goal, was short of this year’s goal of $125,000, Cristin Garaviles, HHH’s Regional Clearinghouse and Emergency Assistance Program Manager, said the campaign’s continued support As a result, HHH said it was able to provide assistance to all 600 families that were scheduled to receive assistance. Funds raised through the Good Neighbor Fund campaign, a joint effort by the Honolulu Star-Advertiser, First Hawaiian Bank and Helping Hands Hawaii, are also used to support the agency’s various programs throughout the year. Masu.

The 2023 Good Neighbor Fund campaign has ended, but monetary donations to the fund are accepted year-round by mail, in-person at 2100 North Nimitz Highway, or online at HelpingHandsHawaii.org. Donations of items to the Community Clearing House are also accepted year-round and can be dropped off at the same address Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
