The Massachusetts Good Neighbor Energy Fund is often a last resort for families experiencing temporary financial hardship and who do not qualify for federal and state fuel assistance programs such as LIHEAP.
Fund subsidies are paid directly to energy suppliers for households whose gross income falls between 60 and 80 percent of the state median income level. For example, if your household consists of four people, your annual gross income must be between $87,294 and $116,392 to qualify. Funding for this campaign year is $400 per eligible household per heating season.
