Jim Cramer’s CNBC Investment Club hosts a “Morning Meeting” livestream weekdays at 10:20 a.m. ET. A recap of Friday’s key moments. 1. Despite Friday’s modest gains, Wall Street was still on track to break his nine-week winning streak. Bond yields initially rose after better-than-expected jobs data slightly reduced the likelihood of a March interest rate cut by the U.S. Federal Reserve. Yields held steady late in the morning, supporting the Dow, S&P 500, and Nasdaq. “There’s nothing we can do about this resilient job market,” Jim Cramer said Friday, shortly after the December jobs report was released. “It’s a great economy,” he added. 2. This week’s sell-off took a breather on Friday, as investors looked for stocks that were “not too expensive and could go even higher,” Jim Cramer said. Still, Jim said the club’s name, Meta Platforms, which has nearly tripled in value in the last year, is the cheapest of the Magnificent Seven based on valuation. Meta-compatible Ray-Ban sunglasses are interesting. 3. Today is another round of Wall Street’s top picks for 2024. Trust and Mizuho like NVIDIA, which topped Meta in our club last year. Wells Fargo and Stifel both carry the Club Holding Wynn Resorts name. Jim said everyone assumes Wynn’s prices are low. Wells Fargo analysts said Macau gambling stocks, including Wynn, were expected to rise 15% in 2024. However, their stock prices are trading at about 10% below their historical average.
