houston – As the KPRC 2 team continues to work to get answers about the U.S. Postal Service debacle, another Houston-area small business owner is losing thousands of dollars and once-in-a-lifetime opportunities due to mail delays. said that it was lost.
Kalia O. Guillory, owner of Nap Bar, told KPRC 2’s Rechelle Turner that earlier this month she shipped a very important package that could change her life.
Guillory said her team sent the package addressed to the 66th Grammy Awards by mail and expected it to arrive by the Jan. 13 deadline.

Everything seemed to be going according to plan until Guillory noticed that the package had not arrived in Los Angeles, California.
That’s when she took to social media, desperately searching for answers.
“🗣️Houston family, we need your help‼️‼️‼️ Due to a package issue at our North Houston distribution center, USPS is costing my business, Nap Bar, thousands of dollars. Shipping is by Grammy Awards It was for a big occasion and was supposed to be delivered by the deadline of January 13th,” she wrote on Instagram.

According to their website, Nap Bar is “Texas’ first snooze pay-to-play facility.” It also says, “We provide on-site and in-suite rest areas to communities and businesses to alleviate sleep deprivation and increase productivity.”
Guillory said she and her team were to ship boxes of products that would be featured in a three-day exhibition at the Artist Lounge.

The Grammy Awards are scheduled for February 4th in Los Angeles.
With that just days away, Guillory said she’s one of hundreds of stressed customers who are now demanding some accountability from the USPS for the delays.
USPS told KPRC 2 that it has hired 30 additional employees as of this week to help ease the backlog in mail delivery.
KPRC 2 was the first station in the Houston area to report these delays. We continue to work to get answers.
