Steenhaut has spent most of his career working in high-tech and IT companies, particularly software companies, in many regions of the world, primarily in sales and marketing. Having started my career in sales, I am now able to apply that experience to marketing and fully support sales activities. He has experience in start-ups as well as more institutionalized companies. All of this is done within an international context with the ability to manage and coordinate multiple remote teams.
Mr. Steenhaut joins Hybrid Software Group from Igepa Belux, where he was Marketing and E-Commerce Manager, but spent most of his career at Nuance, a market leader in speech recognition, AI, PDF and OCR software. There he eventually managed the Global Marketing Demand Center and mentored and supported his marketing teams locally around the world. The company grew in revenue from $170 million to nearly $2 billion before being acquired by Microsoft in 2021. Mr. Steenhout began his career as a copier salesman for Océ copiers and quickly gained experience in the marketing departments of Panasonic and Fujitsu Siemens. He received his master’s degree in applied economics from Ghent University and his MBA from Antwerp School of Management.
