The Schuylkill Chamber Foundation introduces IGNITE Schuylkill, a dynamic competition aimed at accelerating the growth of early-stage businesses.
IGNITE Schuylkill begins with a comprehensive 16-week educational program that immerses aspiring entrepreneurs in coursework focused on entrepreneurship, innovation, and leadership. Prominent executives will participate as guest speakers to share their insights and expertise. Local business leaders will serve as mentors, guiding participants through the intricacies of building a successful business venture.
The program, which culminates in an engaging competition similar to TV’s “Shark Tank,” provides entrepreneurs with start-up funding and a critical financial boost to launch their business ventures.
Official rules and eligibility criteria are set and available at www.schuylkillchamber.com/igniteschuylkill/.
Community investors have provided significant sponsorship funds to contribute to the $100,000 grant available to the winner.
“Since its founding in 1952, the Schuylkill Economic Development Corporation (SEDCO) has stimulated and influenced the process of economic development, improved the quality of life, and improved the lives of the Schuylkill County community and its residents,” said Kenneth Huebner. We have been aiming to raise standards.” , Chairman of the Board of the Schuylkill Economic Development Center.
SEDCO is a top contributor to the program and designated program sponsor.
Huebner said SEDCO is working with people across Schuylkill County to revitalize downtown and believes fostering entrepreneurship is a key part of the solution.
Local entrepreneurs are excited to invest in the program and participate in the process of sparking new economic development in Schuylkill County, officials said.
“I couldn’t be more impressed with this program and the tools it provides current and future entrepreneurs.” “Personally, I am committed to not only bringing talented and successful people from outside the region to live in Schuylkill County, but also to bringing the best and brightest local talent to Schuylkill County,” said CEO Bill Metzinger. We believe that it is essential for us to grow and prosper in order to maintain our values.
