King River Capital, Immutable, and Polygon Labs launch the Inevitable Games Fund, a $100 million commitment to invest in early-stage Web3 gaming startups.

The fund, led by King River Capital and created in partnership with Immutable and Polygon Labs, comes at a critical time as gaming venture capital investment in Web3 games has declined over the past few quarters amid the crypto downturn. The fund has already identified a strong pipeline of investment opportunities, securing seven early-stage investments including Pixelmon, Metalcore, Guild of Guardians and My Pet Hooligan. These ventures represent a diverse range of gaming experiences, from decentralized gaming IP to Hollywood-style animation with a twist on team deathmatch gameplay.
