Grimes remains embroiled in a bitter custody battle with Elon Musk. But that didn’t prevent her from finding her love elsewhere.
Grimes posted a new photo on Instagram on Saturday of her kissing and posing with a man. Media outlets including People and Page Six identified the man as Matteo Mirelli, also known as DJ Anyma.
“Beauty and the Beast,” Grimes, 36, wrote in the caption.
It’s unclear when Grimes and Mirelli’s romance began, but it has come to light as Musk’s heated legal battle with Musk shows no signs of resolving.
Musk and Grimes have collaborated with X Æ A-Xii, Exa Dark Sideræl, and Techno Mechanicus. The legal battle began in April 2022, when Grimes filed a petition in Los Angeles seeking a “determination of parentage.” Musk filed a similar lawsuit in Texas in September 2023.

Milleri is part of Tale of Us, an Italian duo that produces techno and electronic music.
Details about Mirelli’s childhood and career were published in the online music magazine Resident Advisor. According to the newspaper, Mirelli was born in New York and moved to Milan with his family when he was still a toddler.
Mirelli later studied music production at the SAE Institute, where he met Carmaine Conte. The two bonded over their love of music, which led to the creation of Tale of Us, the newspaper reported. They started releasing singles in 2011.
Since then, Tale of Us has released several projects, including the 2017 album “Endless” and the 2021 single “Nova Two.”
The two are also performing at major music festivals such as Tomorrowland in 2023.
Meanwhile, according to Resident Advisor, Mirelli started releasing a solo project under the name Anyma in June 2021.
Mirelli and Conte founded a record label affiliated with Interscope Records.
Five years after releasing their first official single, Tale of Us founded a record label called Afterlife in 2016.
“Initially, we founded Afterlife to curate club nights and shows to reflect our vision for music and take audiences on a journey,” they told Resident Advisor. “We also want to push the artists we believe in and surround ourselves with, so launching the label Afterlife was a very organic evolution. Both the event and the label complement each other. You will.”
Most recently, Mirelli and Conte’s record label signed a deal with Interscope Records in 2023. According to Billboard, Interscope will be distributing Afterlife’s catalog of past and future music.
Mirelli was previously married to an Italian model who was rumored to be dating Leonardo DiCaprio.
Before rumors of her relationship with Grimes began, media outlets such as Grazia Magazine reported that Grimes had married Vittoria Ceretti in Ibiza. In 2020, Ceretti apparently shared photos and videos from the beachside ceremony on Instagram.
“June 1, 2020 🤍 Starting from this day,” she wrote in the caption.
However, the two appear to be living separately and divorced in June 2023, Page Six reported. By September of the same year, People reported that Ceretti was seen together in Ibiza and that she was in a relationship with Lenoaldo DiCaprio.
