Can you tell us more about your journey from being a professional dancer in the Czech Republic to becoming a successful model in New York? What inspired this transition?
Growing up as a professional dancer in the Czech Republic laid the foundation for my journey. The vibrant world of dance ignited my passion for self-expression. As I explored different dance forms, I discovered the allure of combining movement and fashion. This revelation was the catalyst for my transition into the New York City modeling scene. The energy of this city, combined with the thriving fashion industry, fueled my aspirations. Seeing artistry and style come together so seamlessly motivated me to channel my dance background into the dynamic realm of modeling. It has been a journey of evolution and self-discovery, with each dance step gracefully leading me down the New York catwalk, embracing the beauty of both movement and fashion.
You have excelled in aerobics, disco dancing, and show dancing and have won national championships. How has your dance background influenced your approach to modeling and the fashion industry?
My extensive career in aerobic, disco and show dancing, marked by victories in national competitions, has deeply shaped my approach to modeling and the fashion industry. Dance has instilled in me a deep appreciation for movement, poise, and expression. Modeling uses the fluidity and grace gained through dance to create dynamic and captivating poses. The ability to convey emotion and tell a story through movement has become a signature element of my modeling style. It’s not just a static pose, it’s a choreography of grace and flair. Additionally, the discipline and dedication developed in the field of competitive dance translates smoothly into my work as a model. The fashion industry requires precision, patience, and a commitment to continuous improvement. Those values are ingrained in me through years of dance training. Ultimately, my dance background serves as a unique foundation, enriching my modeling journey with an artistic edge and deep understanding of the power of movement in the world of fashion.
As Miss Aerobic Media 2017, how has participating in beauty pageants contributed to your growth and success in the modeling industry?
Winning Miss Aerobic Media 2017 and participating in other beauty pageants greatly contributed to my modeling success. These experiences have increased my visibility, enhanced my stage presence, and opened the door to valuable connections and opportunities in the industry. These titles became powerful assets, shaping my modeling career and establishing me as a prominent figure.
Please tell us about your experience transitioning from dancing to modeling as a teenager. What challenges did you face and how did you overcome them?
Transitioning from dance to modeling as a teenager presented challenges, including adapting to the quiet and understanding the complexities of the industry. Overcoming these hurdles required seeking guidance, continuous improvement, and infusing a modeling style that creatively blended dance-inspired grace.
You earned a bachelor’s degree in business and law in Prague. How did this educational background influence your modeling career and your role as founder of Katwalktalent Talent?
Since I was a teenager, I dreamed of following in my father’s footsteps and embarking on entrepreneurship. However, the path to achieving this remained unclear. After years of immersing myself in the modeling industry and building connections with photographers, models, designers, and various clients and brands, especially in New York City, I decided it was time to start my own agency, Katwalktalent. I noticed. Through the experience I’ve gathered over the years, I’ve gained some insights that I’d like to share with other models. By opening Katwalktalent T, we will be able to help them navigate the industry, secure opportunities, and pursue their passions. This is the culmination of my journey in the modeling world and a platform to empower and uplift fellow models to succeed in what they love.
You are currently signed to various agencies and have appeared in commercials, the New York Fashion Week runway, and Miami Swim Week. Can you share with us any memorable moments or highlights from your modeling career so far?
One of my fondest memories as a model was being an extra on the TV show Westworld. Working with the incredibly talented Evan Rachel Wood was a surreal and unforgettable experience that I will remember forever. Being part of such a prestigious production and sharing the screen with such accomplished actors is a special memory in my modeling career.
Another memorable experience in my modeling career was having the opportunity to walk in front of several celebrities and designers at prestigious events such as New York Fashion Week and Miami Swim Week. Walking the runways of such iconic figures and showcasing their designs has added a unique and unforgettable dimension to my journey in the fashion industry.
What inspired you to found Katwalktalent Talent, and how does the agency value diversity in its representation of models in both New York City and Miami?
There are obvious differences between modeling in New York and Miami. In Miami, the focus is often on swimsuit models, given its vibrant beach culture. New York, on the other hand, focuses on high fashion, with opportunities ranging from runway to editorial. Each city brings a unique flavor to the modeling scene, contributing to a dynamic and multifaceted career experience.
As a digital creator and influencer, how do you choose the brands you collaborate with and what do you enjoy most about this aspect of your career?
What I enjoy most is the variety of daily experiences. Some days I work as a model for photo shoots and runway shows, and other days I focus on running an agency or contributing as a director on site. Creating content for diverse fashion, beauty, and lifestyle brands has been a rewarding journey. Over the past three years, I’ve had the opportunity to collaborate with several amazing brands, and I’m excited to see what opportunities this year brings.
With New York Fashion Week coming up, how do you balance scouting new talent for Katwalktalent while also showcasing your modeling talent on the runway?
I’m excited for New York Fashion Week! February will be a dynamic month for me, with days dedicated to appearing on the runway, scouting new talent with Katwalktalent, and working as an influencer. The combination of roles adds an exciting layer to the experience and we can’t wait for his busy but fulfilling February.
You are actively involved in philanthropy. Can you tell us more about recent charity events and efforts to positively contribute to the community? How do you fit philanthropy into your busy schedule?
The most recent charity I worked with was Humble Heroes for the FDNY. This is a cause close to my heart. As community service workers, we disguised ourselves as the world’s most powerful superheroes to lift the spirits of sick, sad, and unfortunate children. I not only actively participated in charity events, but also contributed to their promotion, believing that anyone can become someone’s hero if they work together to bring joy and comfort to those in need.
