London-based production studio KODE is excited to welcome Sophia Melvin to the team as Head of Marketing and PR. Sophia will continue to lead all her PR and marketing efforts and opportunities, creating new ways to develop and support her KODE’s growth into the new year.
Sophia has established her career as a PR and sales representative at Cut+Run London, representing a roster of experienced editors and an exciting group of up-and-coming talent. During her time at Cut + Run, Sophia focused on the technology behind her videos and interviewed the likes of Ian Pons, Jewel, Joe Connor, Matt Lambert, and more on Britain’s most innovative music promos She’s BTS She co-created and hosted the podcast Ruthless Cuts.
Sophia then took on the role of Rankin’s film and photography representative, representing the great man himself along with a roster of young photographers and filmmakers. During her time at Rankin, Sofia spearheaded the internationally recognized project #GetSnogging for International Kissing Day, garnering attention from Vogue and her GQ.
Sophia has worked as a freelance sales executive for some of the industry’s leading production companies, including SKUNK, FRIEND, and Somesuch, and is thrilled to have found a new home at KODE.
