Larsa Pippen defended her decision to give her 15-year-old daughter a $2,500 monthly allowance.
The television personality made the remarks during part three of “The Real Housewives of Miami” Season 6 reunion on Thursday. Larsa, 49, has a daughter, Sofia, and four sons with former NBA star Scottie Pippen. Although Larsa is based in Miami, she revealed to Bravo earlier in the season that during Sofia’s freshman year of high school, she chose to live with Scotty in Los Angeles.
According to Bravo, when host Andy Cohen read out questions from viewers, the topic of monthly allowance came up.
“you guys [have to] Larsa told her co-stars, “Los Angeles is very expensive, so after school, I order food, Ubers, and buy presents for my friends’ birthdays.”
Larsa added that Sofia is currently pursuing a career as a model and earning money on her own.
“I have a contract with Fashion Nova and they gave her “The deal was done and she became the face of Oscar de la Renta. She’s literally making money, right?” Larsa said.
On a January episode of “RHOM,” Larsa admitted that it was difficult to be away from her daughter, who splits her time between Los Angeles and Miami.
“It’s tough. It’s tough, for sure. But for me, Miami is home. That’s where my heart and soul is. And Sofia loves being in LA, so it’s okay. You know, she ‘s dad is there, Larsa said. “She’s been coming and going, but she’s happy. That’s the only thing I care about.”
Larsa and Scottie were married for 19 years before their divorce was finalized in December 2021, but Larsa said the ordeal was difficult.
In February 2022, she claimed she was “traumatized” by the divorce proceedings and nicknamed Scottie “The Punisher.”
“If I don’t get my way, you’re going to punish me,” Larsa said, according to People magazine.
Most recently, Larsa sparked a relationship with former NBA star Michael Jordan’s second son Marcus. Rumors about their relationship were flying around in late 2022, but they seemed to confirm their relationship in January when they were seen kissing in public.
According to Bravo, Larsa admitted on an episode of “RHOM” that the relationship was probably weird for longtime teammates Scotty and Michael.
However, a source told People magazine in February that the couple had broken up.
Representatives for Larsa Pippen, Scottie Pippen, Marcus Jordan and Michael Jordan did not immediately respond to Business Insider’s requests for comment.
