Teen darts sensation Luke Littler has reached the semi-finals of the World Darts Championship.

The 16-year-old from Warrington won his quarter-final against Northern Irishman Brendan Dolan at Alexandra Palace in London.

After taking a 4-0 lead, he won the match 5-1.

Things didn’t go as planned in the fifth set, but Dolan never made a comeback.

After the win, Littler told Sky Sports Darts he was “delighted” to have reached the semi-finals on his debut in the competition.

“I’ve earned it,” he said.

He said he had a “good chance” of becoming world champion if he could “keep this up”.

“I’m dreaming right now! There are two more fights left. I’m definitely thinking about lifting the title,” he said.

Mr Littler, known as ‘The Nuke’, previously told Sky News that he started playing darts when he was 18 months old.

His sensational performance made him the youngest player to reach the final four at the World Championships.

Littler also receives support from his idol Phil “The Power” Taylor.

He will face Rob Cross in Tuesday night’s semi-final.

“He was incredible on his debut and so am I. I’m looking forward to playing against Rob tomorrow night,” he said.

“I didn’t want to wake up at 9am, so please take it easy tomorrow and come back in the evening.”
