Wiscasset Creative Alliance invites you to participate in informative sessions on social media. In-person participation is encouraged, but a Zoom link will also be provided. Please RSVP to juleeketelhut@yahoo.com.
From Friday, January 12th 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., Lincoln County Regional Planning Commission Office; 297 Bath Road, Wiscasset is the location of the 2024 Marketing Strategic Plan for Community Organizations, Nonprofits, and Small Businesses.
“Word of mouth for local businesses is just as important, if not more so, than traditional marketing, and word of mouth happens on social media,” said Christine Merser, president of Blue2 Media.
In workshops for local community organizations, nonprofits, and small businesses, Mercer will explain why and how to plan your 2024 marketing strategy. Start by determining your goals for the year, then go back to how you will achieve them. She reviews which social platforms work for different types of community organizations, nonprofits, and small businesses to help you get more followers – followers who will act on your pitch. Advise you on how to structure your posts and communications.
If you sign up early, you’ll receive a short survey to help Merser present you with relevant information and answer your questions. You can also send her your social media accounts that she can use in her presentations.
Mercer moved to Maine during the coronavirus pandemic and spends most of her time in the Wiscasset area, where she runs Blue2 Media. When he’s not traveling, you can often find him on Zoom from his home office across the bridge. Blue2 Media is a marketing company specializing in social media and non-traditional ways to build brands and sell products and services. She built social media for a presidential campaign. Fortune 100 companies. Small startups hand-picked by her team based on their interests. She is a successful blogger and film critic, and her first novel will be in her bookstores in February. And she thinks she’s funny.
“I look forward to sharing what’s going on in the world of marketing with the business owners I frequent. I love this city and the great work of the business owners who are part of my community. I am grateful to you for the 12th.”
