Canadian freestyle skiing star Mikael Kingsbury won dual mogul gold Saturday in Waterville, New Hampshire, tying alpine legend Ingemar Stenmark with 86 World Cup wins.
The first-place finish follows Kingsbury’s bronze medal in the moguls on Friday.
Kingsbury, from Deux-Montagne, Kenya, won the final against Japan’s Ikuma Horishima, but Horishima lost control and veered off course between the first and second jumps. As a result, he won a silver medal.
Sweden’s Walter Wahlberg won the bronze medal, defeating fellow Swede Philipp Gravenfors.

Mikael Kingsbury of Deux-Montagnes, Quebec, won Saturday’s dual mogul race in Waterville Valley, New Hampshire, earning his 86th World Cup victory, tying former alpine skier Ingemar Stenmark’s World Cup total. It became a thing.
Kingsbury has won nine medals (six gold, four bronze) in moguls and dual moguls on the World Cup circuit this season. He won four out of five Dual Mogul World Cup events this season, winning bronze in the fourth event.
For the women, Australia’s Jakara Anthony won gold, while Americans Jaelyn Kauf and Olivia Giaccio won silver and bronze, respectively.
Saskatoon’s Maia Schwinhammer was the top Canadian in eighth place.
