Missouri’s secretary of state is threatening to remove President Joe Biden from the ballot after the Colorado Supreme Court ruled that former President Donald Trump cannot appear on the state’s Republican primary ballot. .

In December, the Colorado Supreme Court ruled that Trump cannot run in the presidential primary under the 14th Amendment, which bars anyone “involved in insurrection” from running for Congress. The court sided with a lower district court that ruled that President Trump violated the Constitutional Amendment by inciting protesters before the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol riot.

The US Supreme Court agreed on Friday to hear Trump’s appeal, with oral arguments beginning on February 8th.

“I’m 99% sure the Supreme Court will stop it, but if they don’t there will be chaos and we have to avoid that,” Ashcroft told the outlet.

Asked how Ashcroft could disqualify Biden from voting for inciting an insurrection, he said Biden “has allowed an unstoppable invasion of our country from our border.” answered.
