New York-based Rockefeller Capital Management has tasked the newly appointed director with leading a unified organization that combines its investment solutions and strategic client solutions groups.
Rockefeller Capital Management has appointed Christopher Kirk as head of investment and client solutions. He holds the position of Managing Director.
Mr. Kirk most recently served as President of Wellington Alternative Investments and Wellington Funds US at Wellington Management, where he was responsible for business and investment performance.
In his new role, Kirk will report to Eric Heaton, head of finance, risk management and strategy. In addition, Mr. Kirk will report to Gregory Fleming, President and Chief Executive Officer, on major strategic projects and initiatives, and to Edmund Moriarty III, Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, on cross-business coordination. We are planning to set up a line.
In this role, Kirk will lead a newly integrated organization that brings together the firm’s Investment Solutions and Strategic Customer Solutions groups.
Mr. Kirk’s management team includes Rose Lee, who will continue as head of investment solutions and will now be responsible for alternatives, capital markets, insurance and pensions, investment due diligence, and product development. Michael Brakey is responsible for his solutions for clients, including retirement and specialty products, lending, and managed solutions. Samantha Cooper will expand her responsibilities as Director of Investment and Customer Solutions Sales. All three report to Kirk.
Mr. Kirk will also be responsible for partnering with Rockefeller Global Family Office President Christopher Dupuis and individual advisors to develop and maintain a superior investment platform and advanced solutions for clients. In addition, we will work with Rockefeller Strategic Advisory co-presidents Jim Rattigan and Steve Valentino and their team of investment bankers to source customized and exclusive direct and co-investment opportunities. To do.
Prior to joining Wellington Management in 2004, Kirk was a director in Merrill Lynch & Co’s investment banking division, advising financial institutions on M&A and capital raising transactions. Early in his career, he worked at AT He Kearney and John Hancock Financial Services.
Rockefeller Global Family Office, the property arm of Rockefeller, has been busy recently adding teams across the country. For example, in early February it added Lewis Wealth Partners, the firm’s first private advisory team, based in Richmond, Virginia. In January, it acquired Axiom Wealth Partners, a 26-employee company based in Grand Rapids, Michigan. In November 2023, it added Moon Wealth Partners of Bethesda, Maryland.
RCM has expanded rapidly since its founding in 2018. The company’s origins date back to 1882, when it was founded as a family office by energy magnate John D. Rockefeller. As of December 31, 2023, the organization manages $122 billion in client assets across his three businesses: Rockefeller Global Family Office, Rockefeller Asset Management, and Rockefeller Strategic Advisory.
