Grand opening of new Fairgrounds Arena is January 11th
Ozark Empire Fairgrounds & Event Center announced that the grand opening of Wilson Logistics Arena will be held on January 11th from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event will include a ribbon cutting, presentations, appetizers and a tour of the new facility.
The 6,300-seat indoor arena features a VIP mezzanine, bar and grill, and multiple concession stands. The lower level houses the Ed & Carol Pinegar Agriculture Learning Center and large exhibition area. The 163,000 square foot facility is intended to host concerts, motocross races and sporting events, as well as trade shows and business expos. Events scheduled for 2024 include the O’Reilly Outlaw Nationals Monster Truck Show, the Ozark Clunkers Arena League, Cavender’s His PFI Bull Riding Nationals, the HBA Home Show, and the Springfield Business Expo.
The grand opening will be followed by a ticketed party featuring Russell Dickerson starting at 6 p.m. Tickets start at just $20 and are available now at ozarkempirefair.com.
Arc of the Ozarks opens autism and neurodevelopmental center
Arc of the Ozarks opened a new autism and neurodevelopmental center for patients on January 2nd.
The facility, announced in December 2022, was funded in part by a $5 million grant from the State of Missouri and was established in collaboration with Mercy College and Missouri State University. The Company provides diagnostic evaluations, behavioral analysis, psychological and psychiatric services, speech therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy, and specialty therapy services.
The center will serve as a diagnostic hub for families in southwest Missouri. Once a diagnosis is made, treatment options are available at satellite clinics in Joplin and Branson. The Arc of the Ozarks Autism and Neurodevelopmental Center is located at 2864 S. Nettleton Ave. and is open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. For more information, visit autismcenteroftheozarks.org.
Guarantee Bank Facilitates Ekins, Choate
Guaranty Bank announced that Carrie Eakins and Leora Choate were recently promoted to Branch Banking Officers, with Eakins working at the Farmers Park store and Choate working at the South National Avenue store.
Mr. Eakins joined Guaranty Bank in May 2017 as a market banker and spent the past two years as assistant branch banking manager at Farmers Park. She is active within her Springfield community and enjoys volunteering with Champion of Athletes and the Child Advocacy Center.
Mr. Choate has been with Guaranty Bank since November 2017 and has held the role of Assistant Branch Banker in the country’s locations for the past two years. She is scheduled to graduate from Missouri State University in May with a bachelor’s degree in business administration.
In their new roles, both will continue to provide high quality customer service and lead the team of branch bankers.
