session 9

In the morning, title defender China (4 wins-1 loss) faced host South Korea (4 wins-1 loss). In the fourth end, China’s Wang Haitao attempted a difficult promotion takeout, but was unsuccessful, and South Korea stole two and led 3-1 at halftime. China made a big three in the seventh inning to win 5-4. In the 8th end, South Korea’s No. 4 Yang Hee-tae scored two points at the end for a perfect draw and a 6-5 victory.

Afterwards, South Korean representative Yoon Hee-kyung said, “It was a great honor to beat the team ranked No. 1 in the world, and I’m very happy right now. It’s an honor to beat the team ranked No. 1 in the world.” The key to our victory was our unity, playing as a team and focusing on each shot. ”

In other matches, Norway (3 wins, 2 losses) faced Italy (3 wins, 2 losses). After four ends, Italy was leading 3-2. Italy had singles in both the fifth and eighth ends en route to a 6-3 victory.

Sweden only needed a single in the 8th inning to tie the score at 4-4 and send the game into overtime. In the end, Estonia’s Ain Bilau narrowly fell short with just one goal conceded in the final, handing the victory to Sweden 5-4.

After the match, Sweden’s Kristina Ulander said, “In the last end we made a lot of mistakes and didn’t play very well.” But I still had a chance to win, so I gave it my all. He was the fourth player today and saved us. This match was really tough. ”
