OGDENSBURG — An annual fundraising campaign has begun to help the Ogdensburg Historical Museum continue to exhibit and promote Maple City’s history.
Officially opening in 2022, the Ogdensburg History Museum, located at 206 Ford St., aims to not only increase membership but also raise money to “take the museum to the next level in a fiscally responsible manner.” I am.
This year’s campaign funding goal is $10,000.
“Over the past year, we have made it a point to see history happen here through exhibits and events at our location in the Blevins Building, 206 Ford Street,” the letter written by President Julie Madeline said. “We have worked hard to make sure that our communities and others understand this.” We are reaching out to you for your support in securing the future of our museum and the benefits it brings to the Ogdensburg community. We’ve developed a new annual fund campaign to help preserve Maple City’s history and educate future generations about what Maple City has to offer. ”

“After just over a year of operation, the museum is operating in a fiscally responsible manner, and we are poised to move forward in a similar manner. At some point in the future, we hope to , we hope to be able to move to a facility with higher capacity,” Madeline said.
The Ogdensburg Historical Museum is dedicated to collecting, preserving, exhibiting, and interpreting Ogdensburg’s history. According to the website www.ogdensburghistorymuseum.com, its mission is to “educate children and adults about Ogdensburg’s rich history, from Native American settlement and the establishment of Fort de la Presentation to the urban renewal of the 1970s. Our vision is to deepen our understanding of our past, present and future, and to strengthen the bonds of our community. ”
