Bhavish Aggarwal’s AI startup Krutrimt has successfully closed its first funding round with an impressive $50 million investment led by major investors including Matrix Partners India, becoming India’s first AI unicorn.

The base model, named Krutrim, is trained with 2 trillion tokens and a unique dataset and understands 22 Indian languages, including Marathi, Hindi, Bengali, Tamil, Kannada, Telugu, It can generate content in around 10 languages including Odia, Gujarati, and Malayalam.
A larger and more complex model, called Krutrim Pro, will be available with advanced problem-solving and task execution capabilities.
In October last year, Kultrim passed a special resolution to raise 197 million rupees, or approximately $24 million, by issuing 38,901 series A debentures and 196,761,099 series B debentures at a face value of 10 rupees each. It is reported that.
