Quintara Tucker, a 2015 graduate of Penn State Abington, was recently featured in the following magazines: PSU News He was recognized for his work as an applied behavior analyst (ABA) and as an author, trainer, speaker, coach, and entrepreneur supporting ABA professionals in public schools, clinics, and home settings.
Along with his master’s degree in Developmental Psychology, Tucker holds certifications as a Certified Behavior Analyst, International Behavior Analyst, and Certified Behavior Specialist.
In addition to working with children on the autism spectrum, Tucker and her sister founded ABA Sissyahs LLC (logo pictured above) to provide support, guidance, and supervision to ABA students and professionals. I am.
Through her separate consulting business, she provides multicultural, trauma-informed and natural environment coaching on ABA strategies that parents can implement at home to encourage communication, daily living and self-help skills, community involvement, and job coaching. We offer
Tucker regularly returns to Abington to support first-generation college students. In recognition of her dedication, she received an award from Abington’s I’m First program. She also serves on the board of the Abington Alumni Association and speaks on the faculty-led Ethics Committee.
“There were times I didn’t think I would ever make it out of Abington, so I came back to spread some positivity,” she said.
Tucker is pursuing a doctorate in applied behavior analysis, which she plans to complete next year.
“I would like to see where life takes me after I get my Ph.D., but my ultimate goal is to become a university professor. I am influenced by many of the greats at Abington College. I took it,” she said.
