QUINCY — Quincy Notre Dame announced Friday this year’s annual fundraising goal of $475,000.

Since its founding in 1977, this fundraising campaign has raised more than $18 million and plays a critical role in ensuring QND remains a pillar of Catholic secondary education in Quincy. This fundraiser begins on Friday, January 19th and will run throughout the calendar year.

Promoting the QND Fund helps schools keep tuition costs affordable by paying a portion of their operating costs and bridging the gap between students’ education costs and tuition fees. This fundraiser also supports QND’s financial aid program. This academic year, 42 percent of QND students are receiving financial aid.

Kurt Stackman, executive director of the QND Foundation, said in a press release: QND is successful because of the generosity of our donors, which allows us to provide quality education. Funding allows us to invest in growth and development to achieve our mission. We remain humbled by this kind of kindness both locally and across the country. ”

Brian Dreier, Class of 1989, and Jason Nachman, Class of 1993, have been named this year’s fundraising committee chairs.

Dreyer and his wife, Dana, are QND graduates and both received bachelor’s degrees from Rockhurst University in 1993. They are members of St. Francis Solanus Church and have his three daughters, Emily, Hannah, and Grace, who is currently in his fourth year at QND. Brian is the Director of Employee Benefits for Winters Insurance Group.

“QND is a great faith-based secondary education. This experience creates a lifelong community of people who believe in a common mission,” Dryer said. “This community and its ability to raise money through initiatives like QND Funding will help lower the cost of education for future generations. Fortunately, QND has been growing this community for more than 155 years. With your help, our goal is to extend this tradition of giving for generations to come.”

Nachman graduated from Saint Louis University in 1997 and from Saint Louis University School of Medicine in 2001. He is an allergist for his medical group in Quincy and currently he is the head coach of QND Women’s Golf. He and his wife Rebecca are members of St. Peter’s Church and have his four daughters: Hannah, Heidi, Caroline, and Catherine.

“QND has played an important role in the academic and spiritual formation of not only myself and my daughters, but also countless friends and alumni,” Nachman said. “QND’s mission includes educating lifelong learners in the Catholic tradition of service to others. Current QND leadership, faculty, and staff hold these qualities to the highest standards. I am humbled and proud to have the opportunity to co-chair this year’s fundraising efforts with Brian Dreier. Together, we will grow into the future. .”

QND’s fund activities are supported by many volunteers during their activities. The leaders of the fund drive are:

  • LB Cornwell, Class of 2015, Stifel Financial Financial Advisor
  • Brady Frericks, Class of 2007, Homebank Vice President Commercial Relations Manager
  • Will Meckes, Class of 2006, Partner, Schmiedeskamp, Robertson, Neu and Mitchell LLP
  • Jeremy Mefford, Class of 2006, Financial Advisor, First Investment Services, a division of First Bankers Trust
  • Hannah Cramsey, Class of 2012, Senior Wellness Coordinator, Wellworks For You
  • Jake Scholz, Class of 2000, Attorney, Scholz & Scholz LLP
  • Lucas Frageman, Class of 2003, Insurance Broker, McGinnis Insurance
  • Laura Reinecker, Class of 2003, Laura Reinecker Photo
  • Curt Wavering, Class of 1997, Civil/Site Senior Engineer, Klingner and Associates

QND Foundation activities are managed by the QND Foundation, which was established in 1968. QND Funding was established in 1977. Gifts to QND Funding can be made throughout the calendar year. Gifts can be mailed to QND, filled out online at QuincyNotreDame.org, or paid through PayPal or Venmo (@QND-Foundation).
