Laurie Moulton is a female entrepreneur who is breaking down social barriers while opening up new economic opportunities across the Coachella Valley.

Moulton owns and operates Lux Box Agency, Lolo Interiors, and House of Lolo, joining the recent surge of women running their own businesses.
Women-owned businesses are on the rise across the U.S., and statistics show women-owned businesses are growing faster than men’s businesses, according to a new Wells Fargo study.
“In fact, I think the rapid growth of women-owned businesses is evidence of a long-term commitment to promoting inclusive entrepreneurship,” said Qingfang Wang, a public policy professor at the University of California, Riverside. said.
She says there are about 14 million women-owned businesses across the country, or about 40 percent of all businesses. While Wang expects this number to continue to rise, she also foresees some challenges.
“Growth will continue, but this is where we really need to pay attention. Despite the significant contributions of women-owned businesses, access to capital, gender bias, and the balance between business and family responsibilities are critical. We always face unique challenges.”
Moulton is looking to add to her business portfolio a new role: mentoring and inspiring the next generation of female entrepreneurs.
“Laurie is my biggest role model,” said Briggsy, House of Rolo’s digital marketing manager. “She is a great entrepreneur and a great leader and decision maker. I am inspired and inspired by her every day.”
