Nashville Arena Sports LLC, the ownership group for the Nashville Cats, recently announced Chuck McDowell as a new partner. A serial entrepreneur and proven success, Mr. McDowell is now the Cats’ largest individual stakeholder and has also been named chairman of the arena football franchise.
“When I look at investment opportunities, I look at three things: are there good people involved, is it fun, and is it profitable,” said McDowell, a native of the Nashville area. “The Cats check all of these boxes. McDowell joins the Nashville Cats’ ownership group, which includes founding partner and CEO Tamara Dad Allan. Nancy Eckert, Founding Partner and COO/General Counsel; former Tennessee Titans head coach Jeff Fisher, partner and president of football operations; His partner and vice president of community relations is Greg Pogue.

Mr. McDowell, a graduate of Middle Tennessee State University, is chairman of Wesley LLC and founder and CEO of Wesley Financial Group, a consumer rights firm specializing in timeshare cancellations. Wesley Financial Group has helped more than 35,000 families escape timeshare mortgage debt and was named to the 2020 and 2021 Wesley Inc. 500 Fastest Growing Companies list.
In 2021, Mr. McDowell launched Wesley Mortgage, a full-service mortgage service with a strong presence in Middle Tennessee. The company is recognized as the official mortgage provider of the Tennessee Titans and was named one of the Best Places to Work in 2023 by the Nashville Business Journal.
Mr. McDowell acquired Medical House Calls, a concierge urgent care practice, in 2023. The company serves all of Middle Tennessee and is currently expanding into his 30A area of Florida.
The Cats will play 10 regular season games this season, including five home games, at the historic Municipal Auditorium in downtown Nashville. The season opener vs. the Minnesota Myths is scheduled for Saturday, April 27th. The Cats will also face Georgia Force on Armed Forces Day, Saturday, May 18, at the new F&M Bank Arena in downtown Clarksville.
