  • Donald Trump is accused of throwing documents in a fit of rage during a deposition.
  • Roberta Kaplan said the former president was upset that his lawyer offered him lunch.
  • Former White House aide Cassidy Hutchinson also said President Trump released the items out of anger.

Donald Trump is once again being accused of throwing things in a fit of rage, this time by attorney Roberta Kaplan.

The lawyer known for representing author E. Gene Carroll against Mr. Trump said that during a deposition at Mar-a-Lago in a separate case involving a company called ACN, Mr. upset and claimed that the lawyer provided lunch for the lawyer and her team. He allegedly threw the document “across the table.” He also “yelled” at attorney Alina Haba about it, Kaplan said.

“He was very angry with Arena,” Kaplan said on an episode of “George Conway Explains Everything”, a podcast hosted by attorney and Trump critic George Conway. ” he said.

Kaplan described the former president as “frustrated” during a deposition in a lawsuit against ACN, a multilevel marketing company that sold videophones in the late 2000s and early 2010s. The plaintiffs, represented by Mr. Kaplan, say Mr. Trump promoted the video call with ACN on his show “The Celebrity Apprentice,” even though Mr. Trump did not disclose that he was compensated. He blames it.

After a while, Kaplan said she told Trump she was taking a lunch break, but Trump did not agree because he wanted to finish the deposition. Kaplan said Trump asked her, “‘Well, you’re at Mar-a-Lago. What are you going to have for lunch? Where are you going to have lunch?'” .

“So I said to him, ‘Well, I raised this issue with your lawyers yesterday, sir, and they were kind enough to offer to provide us with lunch.’ ” Kaplan said. “At that moment, there was a huge pile of exhibit materials in front of him, and he picked it up, threw it on the table, and ran out of the room.”

Representatives for Mr. Haba and Mr. Trump did not immediately respond to requests for comment from Business Insider.

Kaplan’s claims follow another revelation about the former president told by White House aide Cassidy Hutchinson.

Mr. Hutchinson, who worked for President Donald Trump’s chief of staff Mark Meadows from March 2020 until the end of the Trump administration, said he was angry, including when he learned that Bill Barr “said there was no spread.” He said many times that he would throw food at the wall every time he stood up. Election fraud in the 2020 election. At the time, Hutchinson said she followed the president into the room and saw “ketchup dripping down the walls and a shattered porcelain plate on the floor.”

“Sometimes it was once or twice a week, sometimes more. Sometimes there would be a lull for a week or so, and then there would be bad news,” Hutchinson said. -Kimmel Live!” said. In an October interview, he mentioned President Trump’s chuck habit. “But it wasn’t just about throwing food and plates and china against the walls. Sometimes it was just flipping over the tablecloths,” she added.

Kaplan also said in her podcast appearance that after her deposition ended, President Trump dismissed her by saying, “I’ll see you next Tuesday,” off the record. This euphemism is a derogatory term referring to female genitalia.

Kaplan said she was confused because she was supposed to meet with Trump on Wednesday. She didn’t know what that meant until she left and was informed by the team, she said.

“When they told me that, I thought, ‘Oh my god.’ Thank God I didn’t know, because if I had known, I definitely would have been mad. I definitely would have been mad.” said Kaplan.
