Brooke DiPalma: How can you say no as a leader?
Vanessa Pham: I think it’s important how you present yourself when you say no, with great humility and self-respect. That’s why I always try to share my thought process and rationale. But at the end of the day, I think you have to show that you’re confident in where you’re coming from.
And also, you know, maybe you don’t have all the answers, but this is the way you go because you know the best answer. And I think the people who really recognize your leadership will show up and support you, even if they don’t agree with it at first.
