The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) will open a business recovery center in National City for businesses affected by severe storms and flooding from January 21st to 23rd.
The center will open at 12 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 26, at the Southwestern University Center for Higher Education, located at 880 National City Blvd. National City, CA 91950. Located on the first floor of the Center for Business Advancement, room 7100.
SBA representatives can help business owners access the services and low-interest loans they need.
The Business Recovery Center is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. No reservations required.
Businesses and private nonprofit organizations can borrow up to $2 million to repair or replace damaged or destroyed property, equipment, inventory, and other business assets. The loan covers losses that are not fully covered by insurance or other recoveries.
Interest on SBA disaster loans does not accrue until 12 months after the date of the first payment. Loan repayments also begin 12 months after the first payment date.

SBA representatives will also provide assistance to business owners and residents when FEMA Disaster Recovery Centers open to the public.
The deadline for property damage claims is April 19, 2024. The deadline to file economic damages is November 19, 2024.
