Q: Why did you decide to start a business like this?
A: I love teaching people how to decorate cookies and play small roles in celebrations (birthdays, retirements, weddings, etc.).
Q: How did you get started?
A: I took a cookie class eight years ago. However, in March 2023, I held a small class at my home. We have grown a lot in this short period of time. We currently hold public and private classes at multiple locations, and my cookies are sold at four of his stores. We accept many custom orders and are expanding our product lineup. Gourmet cookies are now available. We recently launched a website, BeehiveCookieCompany.com, where you can find pre-orders for the holiday season.
Q: What does your business sell or offer?
A: I sell beautifully decorated sugar cookies and teach cookie decorating classes.
Q: What is the biggest challenge you are currently facing?
A: Balancing family and work is difficult.
Q: What is your favorite thing or place in Cumberland County?
A: The diversity of small businesses and how much they want other entrepreneurs to succeed.
