houston – It’s a never-ending story for thousands of customers waiting for mail and important packages from various locations in the Houston area.
From the Missouri City sorting facility to the North Houston facility, KPRC 2 continues to seek answers to ongoing USPS issues.
“It’s an absolutely devastating situation, for consumers and for businesses,” Riker said.

Small business owner Axel Riker showed reporter Lechelle Turner dozens of packages that had been tracked to a facility on Aldine Bender Road.
“For chargebacks and reshipments for items valued at around $20,000, we are currently planning on $20,000,” Axel Riker said.
That’s the amount of money Mr. Riker lost because of the USPS problem.
“This is impacting me as a business owner. I’m on the verge of bankruptcy. Additionally, other Houstonians waiting for invaluable products, medicines, and treatments are at risk as well.” he said.

Since November, his company has lost hundreds of packages.
“Since then, it has increased every month in December…and I lost more in January.”Unfortunately, depending on the type of items you have, they are low cost, such as items under $10, so you may not be able to rely on USPS. Services such as FedEx, DHL, and UPS are not available. Because the shipping method is much more expensive and you end up losing money on every order. ” he said.
On Monday, Axel left Houston and drove nearly three hours to Austin to ship the package to another USPS facility.
“It’s not just me driving the load, there are other businesses in this community that have been affected as well, so we will be picking up other loads and delivering them to Austin,” he said.
Turner asked him why he wanted to help other businesses.
“Well, I know the pain I’m going through and how upset my customers are, so I’m sure everyone else is facing a similar scenario,” he added. Ta.
Riker said she is prepared to drive to Austin every day until business gets back on track and the postal issues in Houston are resolved.

KPRC 2 has reached out to USPS several times over the past few weeks to ask when the issue will be resolved. He did not say how long it would take.
