Soleiras Aviation announced the establishment of the Chad Davidson Business Aviation Leadership Scholarship Fund to honor the memory of the late Chad Davidson, a passionate member of the aviation community.
Davidson joined the charter sales team at aviation services company Solairus in 2014 at the age of 19. Known for his talent and passion for aviation, he became an integral part of his team and was respected by his colleagues, as he was affectionately called. He is “Super Chad”.
“Chad was the lifeblood of the Solairus organization, not only in his relationships and day-to-day impact on our business, but because he represented what was possible for the future of our company and business aviation as a whole,” said Dan Drohan, CEO of Solairus. says. He said. “He was only 29 years old and was already a promising symbol of the next generation of leadership at Solairus and in our industry. More importantly, he was a great human being.”
In addition to his work in the business aviation industry, Davidson was an active volunteer, mentor, and member of his church community. He participated in charity flights for his PALS Airlift Service, which transports patients who cannot fly commercially for treatment.
This scholarship fund is designed to support students pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Aviation Business Management at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, Florida. The fund will provide scholarships to individuals who “exhibit the same level of passion, dedication and leadership that defined Davidson’s life and career,” Sorailas said.
Drohan added: “The creation of a scholarship fund to invest in promising young people like Chad who can make their own mark on the business aviation industry is in memory of a great man who made a very positive impression on our Solairas. It seems like a fitting tribute, both to our clients and to our industry.”
Dr. Alan Stolzer, dean of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, said the school is honored to be a part of Davidson’s legacy in the aviation community.
“Embry-Riddle is honored to serve as a board member of the Chad Davidson Business Aviation Leadership Scholarship Fund,” said Mr. Stolzer. “This fund will help support the next generation of aviation professionals who want to make a positive impact on their business aviation careers.”
