Keith has always been a game disruptor in a good way. He was always looking for angles, always looking for ways to grow his game, always thinking a little differently than the players in his position before him. I’ve always enjoyed his outlook and the way he swings for the fences, so to speak.
A crystal ball would have been great. Because there were some opportunities in the way of golf that the European Tour could position itself in a different way and strengthen the tour in the short term. For example, I don’t know how this new deal with (private equity) will relate to the European Tour if it passes. So perhaps it would be a good move for the European tour.
Regarding the appointment of Guy Kinnings
He is a wonderful person to be around. He plays the agent card very well and he knows who he is. He is comfortable wearing a little pink.
He seems ready for a big job on either the PGA Tour or the DP World Tour. This doesn’t surprise me because since the partnership I’ve always thought he had a chance of landing the top job on one of the tours.
