GAAP earnings per share were $1.54 and were not immediately comparable. Alcoa — Shares fell nearly 3% after the aluminum producer reported fourth-quarter results. Alcoa’s adjusted loss came in at 56 cents per share, compared to expectations of 86 cents, according to a survey of analysts compiled by LSEG. Sales were $2.6 billion, in line with expectations. HB Fuller — HB Fuller stock fell about 1%. The company’s fourth-quarter adjusted earnings were $1.32 per share, beating the FactSet consensus estimate for earnings of $1.27 per share. Sales were $902.9 million, lower than expectations of $929.9 million. Talos Energy — The oil and gas company’s stock fell 5% after Talos Energy released its fourth-quarter revenue guidance in the range of his $380 million to $395 million. Analysts surveyed by FactSet had expected $393.5 million. The company also announced a $300 million underwritten common stock offering and plans to use the net proceeds to partially fund its acquisition of Quarter North Energy. Plug Power — Plug Power, a developer of hydrogen fuel cell systems, plunged about 15% after it disclosed a deal with B. Riley Securities to sell $1 billion in common stock. Wednesday’s closing price was $2.74 per share.
