Entrepreneurial students are selling collectible dog-themed cards to raise money for a school trip.
Pupils at Clare Community Primary School in Sudbury, Suffolk, created Doggie cards which they say resemble Pokemon and football trading cards.
There are 10 different packs to collect, and the proceeds will be donated to travel expenses.
Rob Davies, the Year 6 class teacher behind the idea, said the idea had “generated a huge buzz across all age groups”.

Mr. Davis helped the students bring the concept to life in order to raise funds for the trip.
“We thought about how it could actually be implemented as a school fundraising idea, especially related to school trips because they are expensive, even if you go to a free venue,” Davis said. said.
“We have to ask parents to donate a large amount of money for school trips.
“We thought this was a good idea to give them a subsidy.”

The game includes a math element, as students must keep track of their scores.
Teddy, a 10-year-old student, came up with the idea based on his “favorite animal.”
“I just love dogs,” he said.
Teddy says there will be 10 packs to collect, including dogs with apt names such as Donut Dog, Robo Dog, and Hot Dog Dog.
Teddy said the object of the game is “to be the last one standing with the most cards.”
It also included math and score-tracking elements to help keep students’ minds active.
Creating the cards was a whole-class effort, and Davis and his students have so far hand-printed, laminated, guillotined and packaged 1,200 cards.
The students set a fundraising target of £800 and have already managed to raise half of that.
A portion of the money raised will also be donated to local animal rescue charities.
