According to travel blog View from the Wing, the Filipino woman’s application for a Schengen visa was initially denied, but she was able to reapply after showing proof that she was planning to attend a Taylor Swift concert in Asia. .
In a now-deleted Reddit post, Swifty wrote: “I would like to share that I was rejected on my first try. Comments were posted about how I left the Schengen Area before my visa expired. They said they didn’t plan on leaving. So when I reapplied, I said, “I’m leaving because I’m attending a Taylor Swift concert in Singapore,” and I attached a confirmation email. [sic].
She had applied for a visa to visit Italy. According to the rules of the Schengen Agreement, this visa is usually valid for all her 26 countries within the Schengen area. Travelers must apply at the consulate of their primary destination country.
She attached a confirmation email for future-dated Taylor Swift tickets in Singapore to her re-application.
Subsequently, the visa application was approved quickly, Mr. SHR claimed.
“I received an email saying my VISA was processed in just 3 business days. I applied on December 21st. Processing dates are December 22nd, 27th, and 28th. A Pentagon spokesperson ironically denied Watter’s claims, referring to one of Swift’s biggest hits in a statement.
“We are going to dispel this conspiracy theory,” he said.
