The CW Network has appointed Erin McIlvaine as senior vice president of affiliate distribution and marketing, responsible for managing the network’s distribution and overseeing affiliate relationships with station group partners. She will begin her new role immediately, reporting to her Dana Zimmer, president and chief distribution strategy officer of Nexstar Media Group, and her girlfriend Dennis Miller, president of The CW.
Throughout his nearly 20-year career in the media business, McIlvaine has worked at Dish Network, Charter Communications, and Crown Media Holdings (Hallmark Channel).
She joins The CW from Great American Media, a general entertainment and family-friendly cable network, where she served as chief distribution and content strategy officer. She was one of the company’s founding officers and was responsible for overseeing distribution, government relations, marketing, and operations. In less than two years, she and her team have expanded GAM’s distribution from 31 million TV households to more than 50 million, making her the fastest growing cable network in the United States. Prior to joining GAM, McIlvaine was Executive Vice President of Distribution and Content Strategy at Crown Media Holdings, where his responsibilities included finance, operations, government relations, and distribution for Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Movies & Mysteries affiliate marketing.
