Grand Theft Auto 6’s debut trailer has been hilariously recreated in the weird and wonderful Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind.
Twitch streamer Micky D posted a parody trailer on the website formerly known as Twitter earlier this week, January 3, featuring Tom Petty’s pulsating locks, much like the first trailer for GTA 6. The song “Love Is A Long Road” was played in the polygonal alien world of Morrowind.
It’s GTA VI, but this is Morrowind! pic.twitter.com/Cgwq1ubooYJanuary 3, 2024
As the music begins to reach its climax, the trailer’s camera pans across the strange world of Morrowind, replacing GTA 6’s picturesque, sunny coastal shots with a moody lake. Shots of brutal jet skis are replaced by jagged ships. Most hilariously, shots of crocodiles and birds have been replaced with the towering jellyfish creatures that haunt Morrowind.
Things get a little risqué, with women dancing suggestively (if you can call it that) in bars and barns, and Morrowind’s wild NPCs publishing satirical GTA 6 social media clips for money. It will be. Morrowind’s quirky design is still beloved by the community, even though the design has aged, and it’s always nice to see new and cheerful content mined from its unique personality.
That’s a good thing, too, because we probably won’t see a second official GTA 6 trailer for a while. Internet sleuths theorize that another trailer is set to be released next September, based on the main art gunshot that appears to spell out a message in Braille. The game is scheduled for his 2025 release, so whether the fan theory is right or wrong, we’ll probably be waiting a few months for the next one.
While waiting, The strange story of GTA 3’s most mysterious cut character A person who is speculated to have ties to terrorism.
