Bobi, who is said to have been born on May 11, 1992, died due to a false alarm within a few days of her birth.

He and three other puppies were born in a forest cabin owned by the Costa family in the village of Conqueiros in central Portugal.

Bobbi’s owner Leonel Costa, who was 8 years old at the time, recalls that his parents decided to get rid of the newborn puppy because the family already had many animals.

They unknowingly left behind a puppy, Bobbi, and were eventually persuaded by Costa and his sister to keep him.

Costa attributes Bobi’s long life to his quiet rural life and diverse diet.
