The clash at Thursday’s Oklahoma State Board of Education committee meeting made headlines online after the “Libs of TikTok” account reposted a video of the meeting in which a man yelled abuse at the account’s creator. There was an uproar.
This week, State Schools Superintendent Ryan Walters appointed Chaya Lycic, creator of the “Libs of TikTok” account on X (formerly Twitter), to the Oklahoma Library Media Advisory Board. This appointment was met with widespread criticism.
A group of protesters gathered outside Thursday during the state commission’s regular monthly meeting and later spoke during the public comment portion of the meeting.
One of the speakers was Sean Cummings, an Oklahoma City area business owner and civic activist.
‘Libs of TikTok’ account reposts board meeting video
On Thursday morning, Reichik posted on his “TikTok Liv” account, “Oklahoma City Councilman Sean Cummings is furious that I was appointed to help remove porn from schools. I’m claiming to be me,” she shared on her “TikTok Lib” account with the caption.threatened children [with bombs]. This is a blatant lie. I will not tolerate this defamation. ”
In the video, Cummings says that in August 2023, the “Libs of TikTok” account posted a video targeting a librarian in Oklahoma, revealing her workplace and making a bomb threat against an elementary school. mentioned the incident.
“There’s no plausible deniability here,” Cummings said. “That goes for you too.”
Cummings and others claim that Lajczyk’s tweets caused people to send bomb threats, but she maintains that her tweets did not directly threaten children with bombs.
Cummings also called on board members to take action against Walters.
“If you condone this type of behavior, you’re all guilty,” he gestured to the board members sitting with Walters.

After his “TikTok rib” post went viral, Cummings posted on Facebook that he received several threatening phone calls.
Cummings posted his response in a video on TikTok on Friday morning.

Sean Cummings is the owner of Sean Cummings Irish Restaurant & Pub in Oklahoma City and serves as Deputy Mayor of The Villages.
He attends State Board of Education meetings almost every month to speak out against Walters and his policies.

Chaya Lajczyk comments at Oklahoma State Board of Regents meeting
Mr. Walters played a recorded video message from Mr. Lajczyk during the meeting. Below is a transcript of Laichik’s statement.
“Good morning, Oklahoma! I’m so honored to join Ryan and be chosen to serve on the Library Advisory Board. There’s been a lot of controversy around this, but I know there’s a common theme. The left It’s that we’re absolutely afraid to go.” To improve our schools: We’re going to remove pornography, inappropriate content, and liberal indoctrination from our schools. Our children’s schools will no longer have access to pornography. There are a lot of people who are very upset about that, and I think that’s very thought-provoking.
“This is my message: We’re going to take back our schools. We’re going to fix our schools. We’re going to take porn out of our schools, and you can’t stop us. We’re not going to slow down and we’re going to keep going.”
