Entrepreneur Derry Green reveals his top 10 tips for securing offers from four Dragons players in the latest episode. dragon’s den.

The business came about when the father-of-two was looking for new and exciting ways to keep his children Noah, now 9, and Sophia, 11, busy during the pandemic. Millions of television viewers watched as she revealed how she was born.
He decided to build a camping deck in the garden of his home in Skelmersdale and continued adding decks until he completed a glamping pod complete with hot tub, fire pit and TV.
The idea has been so popular that they have turned four acres of woodland behind their home into a glamping site, which currently has 12 pods and 100% occupancy.

In 2022/23, The Secret Garden Glamping reported a turnover of £1.4m and a net profit of £440,000.
Green said the secret to the company’s success is its social media approach, which currently boasts 1 million followers on Facebook, TikTok and Instagram.
“Our USP is how we use social media,” he told BusinessCloud. “We have treated social media and glamping sites as two separate businesses. Social media content drives bookings.
“We focused on what people want from social media. They want to see units that look really beautiful when lit up at night. Aspirational content.
“They want to see themselves sitting in a hot tub at night drinking champagne.”
Episode of dragon’s den Sales were recorded in 2023 and, following Deborah Meaden’s investment, sales are expected to reach £2m in 2023/24, with plans to further accelerate.
