Ukrainian defense company Inguar has unveiled its latest armored fighting vehicle, Inguar 3.
Mine-Resistant Ambush-Protected (MRAP) vehicles are “light tactical vehicles designed for superior performance in a variety of military environments,” manufacturer Inguar says on its website.
It added that the “state-of-the-art” vehicle was developed “in accordance with wartime requirements” in cooperation with Ukrainian special forces.
“With its innovative monocoque body design, Inguar3 vehicles are available in many variations, with two versions of the chassis, 4×4 and 6×6, both designed to tackle urban and off-road challenges with equal ease. ” says the company.
“Whether deployed for escort, reconnaissance missions or rapid response operations, the Inguar3 delivers unwavering performance and reliability, making it a valuable asset on the battlefield.”
According to military news website Defense-Blog, the armored truck is equipped with a 356-horsepower Deutz engine, multiple cameras, night vision, and steel and aluminum armor to help protect the crew. He says he is trying not to overburden himself. It’s very heavy.
MRAPs are some of the most popular military vehicles used by Ukraine in a conflict marked by the prevalence of minefields.
But so far they have had to rely on versions donated by the West, such as the U.S.-made MaxxPro, which one Ukrainian soldier previously told the Times is “almost indestructible.”
“The Max Pro is like a red cloth for the Russians, and we will target it with everything we have,” he said, adding that one of the vehicles was hit by artillery fire and the other by mortar fire. But he added: “Everyone inside survived.”
“They truly saved the lives of our soldiers,” he said.
