WASHINGTON, DC (January 12, 2023) – The U.S. World Food Program has appointed Dorota Amin as its new Chief Philanthropy and Partnerships Officer (CPO). Amin, who has served as interim CPO since September, was selected for the permanent role after careful consideration of a wide range of candidates. Amin officially assumed her new role on January 1st.
“We are proud to announce the well-deserved promotion of Dorota Amin to our senior leadership team,” said Baron Seeger, president and CEO of the World Food Program. “I am a strong believer in promoting from top talent and Dorota’s track record demonstrates the wealth of expertise we have developed within our organization. By increasing our revenue and expanding our partner base, we will be an invaluable resource as we raise critical funds to fight world hunger.”
Since 2019, Dorota has led the U.S. World Food Program’s Corporate Partnerships Program, which engages U.S.-based corporate partners to support the United Nations World Food Program’s mission through corporate philanthropy, in-kind and technical assistance, and expertise. The focus is on getting involved. Over the past four years, Dorota has played a key role in leading the Corporate Partnerships team to incredible success, and he has tripled the impact of the U.S. World Food Program’s Corporate Partnerships program in support of the United Nations World Food Program’s mission. I increased it to As Interim CPO, Dorota led the entire department and served as a valued member of the organization’s leadership team.
“I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to lead this team as we face a critical moment in the fight against global hunger,” said Amin. “The past four years at the U.S. World Food Program have not only fueled my personal passion for this mission, but also solidified my belief in the power of philanthropy to achieve our goals. Prior to joining the U.S. World Food Program, Dorota worked with several local, national, and international organizations, including Food & Friends, Share Our Strength/No Kid Hungry Campaign, SOS Children’s Villages, and George Washington University.
She is a graduate of Case Western Reserve University’s Master of Nonprofits program in Cleveland, Ohio, and holds a Master’s degree in European Studies from Jagiellonian University in Krakow, Poland.
