The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) will take action on January 16, 2024 at 8:00 a.m. ET to consider a proposal to amend the Uniform Pricing that applies to all 11 Federal Milk Marketing Orders (FMMOs). Reconvene national hearings.
If the public hearing is not completed by January 19th at 5:00 p.m. ET, the public hearing will be held again on January 29th at 8:00 a.m. ET and will be held weekdays from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Public Hearing If the meeting is not completed by 5:00 PM ET, it will reconvene at a later date, February 2, 2024.
The public hearing will begin on August 23, 2023 and will be held at 502 East Event Center, 502 East Carmel Drive, Carmel, Indiana, 46032.

Proponents argue that the uniform FMMO pricing formula should be revised because of major changes in the dairy industry and milk marketing since it was introduced in the early 2000s. Forty proposals were submitted by interested parties for consideration. Of these, 21 directly impact harmonized pricing and are being considered at public hearings.
